The WiKID Blog

The WiKID Blog, musings on two-factor authentication, information security and some other stuff.

Aren’t wireless networks and devices inherently insecure?

Yes. That is why we asymmetrically encrypt all the transmissions. Each communication between the device and server is atomic as well, increasing security.

Can I use WiKID for two-factor authentication for GDM/XDM/Gnome/KDE login?

Most Linux services use PAM, so 'Yes'. Just configure /etc/pam.d/login to use Radius and you should be good to go.

What networking Protocols are supported by WiKID?

Radius (Enterprise version only), LDAP, TACACS+, and support for Google Apps for your Domain through SAML.  We also have an API you can use to add two-factor authentication to  custom apps.  They are LGPL-licensed and available for download.
