two-factor-authentication-for-content-managment

I'm pleased to announce the release of a WiKID plugin for Plone, the content management system we use for this site.

I think being able to easily add two-factor authentication to a content management system will be increasingly important more and more critical data is stored in such systems. Of course, most of these system also support Radius or LDAP or Apache authentication and can be integrated with WiKID that way.

The fact that Plone is open source helps a great deal. There are no developer program to join or agreements to sign. There is a tremendous support group and plenty of code to review.

The plugin is not very pretty, yet. It is very bare bones, but it will allow Plone users to get two-factor authentication via both the Enterprise and Community versions of WiKID. Suggestions on other CMS systems that could use a WiKID plugin are welcome. Enjoy!
