From SFGAte.com comes this:
States will be required to help evacuate pets during a natural disaster such as a hurricane or earthquake or risk losing federal money under a bill signed Friday by President Bush.I'll keep it short here:
- This is dangerous. Scared animals are dangerous
- This is expensive.
The law also authorizes FEMA to provide additional money to create pet-friendly shelters and provide special assistance to pet owners.
Anybody notice that we're spending more than we're taking in? How about just putting that money into something like, oh, I don't know, Levees?
