rfxnwe used the enterprise trial to get up and running without much fuss14:31
rfxnas it was an urgent matter to migrate and didn't really have time to check in about the intermediate cert stuff14:31
nowenok14:31
rfxnbut as i recall the intermediate cert from the enterprise trial14:31
rfxnwas a 30d one14:31
rfxncorrect?14:31
nowenactually, we haven't implemented the 30 day certs yet :)14:32
rfxni was wondering why nothing came crashing down yet14:32

laszlofjust busy :)15:30
mark__nick you here?16:11
mark__Nick16:11
mark__got a BB question16:12
mark__and a WiKID question16:26
nowenyes16:26
mark__when you launch your WiKID shortcut16:27
mark__and it prompts for your passphrase it appears this window is active but if you try to type it is not16:28
mark__you have ot click on the window to then enter your passphrasse16:28
nowenok16:31
nowencreated an improvement request for that16:33
nowenand the bb?16:33
mark__we are on the phone with RIM16:40
mark__and they want to know what OS versions we are experiencing this issue with16:41
mark__OS7 is still good from the app store correct?16:41
nowenseems so16:41
mark__on curves16:41
nowenit seems to be the curves16:41
mark__obviously16:41
mark__well the curve can have the OS7 on it16:42
nowenexactly, but not necessarily16:42
mark__would the link you gave me work on OS7 also?16:42
nowenso, ask them how I specify which OS get's which app version16:42
nowenI suppose, but not sure16:42
nowenI was guessing that sub-os7 needed the link16:43
mark__ok16:43
mark__have you ever called them?16:43
nowenno16:43
mark__I would rather be stuck in the eye with a hot poker16:43
nowenLOL16:43
mark__evrything is hold on let me look that up16:44
nowenhistorically they have been ...unfriendly.. to devs16:44
nowenthey didn't really care about anything b/c email was the end all be all16:44
mark__have you sent them any email using the support16:59
nowenno16:59
mark__can you?16:59
nowensure16:59
nowenwhat's the email?16:59
mark__on the wikid app in the app store16:59
mark__nm17:01
mark__they will not give me a email address for you to contact them17:02
nowenwhy not?17:02
mark__the guy we are talking to does not know it17:02
nowencan they attempt to install it on a curve?17:03
mark__he says it is a different department17:03
nowenugh17:03
mark__do they not provide you any contact info if you are having issues or questions with apps17:05
mark__for the app store17:06
mark__do you have a service account with them?17:06
nowennot that i have seen. some community forums17:06
nowenwe have a dev account17:06
mark__ok17:07
mark__if you do ever get in contact with them I hope you do not ge this guy17:07
nowen;)17:07
mark__However, we think since we have a service contract with them we can piggy back you off of us17:07
mark__and get an actual case number17:08
mark__i will send you an email17:14
nowenok17:15
nowenwould you agree that the issue is that we cannot discern what OS the Curves are running via the app store release process?17:16
nowensee if they will some to #wikid ;)17:23
nowens/some/come17:26
mark__it is going to be painful for us to push this out on our BES17:26
mark__don't you have some contact you could talk to?17:27
mark__at BB17:27
nowenreally? I thought that was one of the core functions of the BES?17:27
nowenI can post on the forums17:28
nowenalso, in re the focus thing: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/309023/howto-bring-a-java-window-to-the-front17:29
nowenseems to be a windows UAC thing17:29
nowenwe can't get it to do it17:29
mark__ok17:31
nowenwe'll keep looking at it17:32
mark__ok17:32
mark__just to let you know on our end we will have to go through and move these usrs to a group after we identified what OS they are running17:33
nowena group on teh BES?17:33
mark__and then if they upgrade their phone to an OS that is not supported by the client we pushed them17:33
mark__they would end up with the wrong version17:34
mark__yes that is how we will have to do this17:34
mark__we can push to all17:34
nowenlooking at the dev forms, there seem to be a number of problems with upgrades on the app store17:34
mark__which I do not think we want to do17:34
mark__unless you know that this client will work with all versions17:34
mark__or we can create groups based off of the identified OS's17:35
nowenwell, we updated the app to work on OS717:35
mark__so the link you have been giving me for Curve users17:36
mark__will work with OS7?17:37
nowenwell, I think I have a version that will work on OS717:37
nowenand one for everything else17:37
mark__ok taht is why we would have to create these groups17:37
mark__so that anyone not on OS7 we would push it to17:38
nowenback to java: are you using the locked tokens or unlocked?17:38
mark__unlocked17:38
mark__to allow for maximum mobilty17:38
nowenwe might be able to fix the UI thing in the unlocked token17:39
nowenso you have to create user groups, based on OS rather than just being able to push out by OS? ?17:40
mark__yes17:41
nowenok17:43
nowenhmm, this is from the dev forum:17:49
nowen  Currently, App World has issues of: 1) Installs not 100% and many have to reinstall to get it to run properly 2) Wrong version gets installed by a subset of users 3) In-app purchases not 100% reliable 4) Poor search results 5) Inability to contact customers on issues 6) Inability to edit previous reviews  7) Policy changes not being vetted   17:49
nowenlook at 2) Wrong version gets installed by a subset of users17:49
mark__that would be us17:58
nowenhmm, I wonder if maybe all the problems are with the app store17:59
nowenmaybe you could push out the latest to all bbs?18:00
mark__can you send me the latest and I can test on my BB18:03
nowenyeah18:04
nowenhttp://www.wikidsystems.com/webdemo/tokens/rim/3.0.11/WiKIDBB3.jad18:05
mark__download failed invalid COD18:13
nowenwhat OS?18:13
mark__907 Invalid COD18:13
mark__4..6.1.31418:14
nowenoh well18:15
nowenworth a shot,  I guess18:15
nowenhttp://www.wikidsystems.com/webdemo/tokens/rim/3.0.10/WiKIDBB3.jad ?18:15
mark__same error18:17
nowenhttp://www.wikidsystems.com/webdemo/tokens/rim/3.0.9/WiKIDBB3.jad18:17
mark__telling me i need the Ntru module?18:18
nowenhttp://www.wikidsystems.com/webdemo/tokens/rim/3.0.8/WiKIDBB3.jad18:19
mark__when I go to the app store18:20
mark__it gives me 818:20
nowenis this a curve?18:20
mark__yes18:20
nowenand did the app store install work?18:20
mark__yes18:21
nowenbecause that is what is supposed to happen. curves should get 818:21
mark__tha is not the same error the other users are getting though18:23
nowenno, the errors are different on the jad download than on the app store18:23
nowenhelpful, I know18:23
nowengot an os7 curve around there?18:24
mark__no18:24
mark__not sure how many we have total on OS718:25
mark__so my curve on 4.6 needs 818:26
nowen3.0.8 was the one we had on there forever.18:26
mark__ok18:27
nowenI think .11 should be the one that 0S7 needs.  I think the others are attempts18:27
mark__ok18:27
mark__I know we worked with you on that but it has been a while ago18:28
nowenyou're using the jnlp, right?18:43
nowenhttp://www.wikidsystems.com/webdemo/tokens/j2se/3.1.22/wikidtoken-3.1.22.jar18:44
nowenthat's an English-only jar that should fix that UI problem18:45
nowenbe sure to up the jnlp to .2218:45
nowenie, point to the right jar18:45
mark__ok18:52
mark__have a good weekend20:30
nowenok, you too!20:31
