testing-two-factor-authentication-just-got-easier

I'm pleased to announce that we have just released a version of the WiKID Strong Authentication Server as a Parallels virtual appliance. We get a lot of Mac users to the site and this virtual appliance offering gives them a quick and easy way to test WiKID - as well as for Windows and Linux users of Parallels workstation.

Testing two-factor authentication can be tricky because you want to get comfortable with the system before it goes into your network. Virtual appliances are perfect for testing - if you screw up, just blow it away and start over.

VMware users have been able to test and deploy two-factor authentication via our VMware appliance. I'm not as familiar with Parallels as I am with VMWare, but until Parallels comes out with a server version that is production quality, we're not recommending that you deploy WiKID on Parallels. However, it is a great testing environment. Look for more two-factor virtual appliances in the future!

UPDATE: We have dropped support for Parallels due to lack of interest. However, please note that it is quite simple to download the WiKID ISO and create a Paralells machine from it.
